Product details
Our Dark Chocolate Blend is built for people who want a strong, chocolate-forward dark roast coffee that still tastes of somewhere. We blend Honduran SHG Arabica grown at 1450m with El Salvador Arabica from 1400m, each chosen for what it brings to the cup: the Honduran gives a deep, bitter dark chocolate backbone and warm brown spice, the El Salvador cuts through with orange peel brightness. Full-bodied, low in acidity and big on strength, with a spiced finish that rewards drinking slowly.
Hand roasted to order in small batches in Yorkshire, with the roast date printed on every bag. This is a dark roast coffee blend that shines as espresso and holds its own through milk in a flat white or latte, and it is just as good strong and black from a cafetière or moka pot. If you are looking for dark chocolate coffee beans with real depth, start here.
Flavour Profiles: Chocolate, Orange, Brown Spice
Roast Level: Dark (4 out of 5)
Origins: Honduras SHG x El Salvador (100% Arabica blend)
Altitude: 1400m to 1450m

Freshness. A lot of supermarket coffee is roasted months before you open it, and it tastes flat or burnt. Every bag of George’s is roasted to order in small batches, with the roast date printed on the bag, so it reaches you at its best: smooth, sweet and full of flavour.
A mug brewed with 15g of our coffee typically contains over 75mg of caffeine, and caffeine helps to increase alertness and improve concentration. Ugandan and Morning Motivation include Robusta, which naturally carries more caffeine than Arabica. If you’re cutting down, our Mexican Decaf is water-processed and tastes like proper coffee.
Strong in flavour, never harsh. Full body without burnt bitterness or a sour aftertaste. For the most caffeine, choose Ugandan or Morning Motivation.
Always. Every bag is roasted to order and dispatched fresh, with the roast date on the bag, so nothing has sat in a warehouse for months. Fresh coffee simply tastes better: brighter, sweeter and more aromatic.
You’re paying for higher-grade beans, small-batch roasting to order and a roast date on every bag. Mass-market coffee is roasted in bulk and can sit for months before it’s opened.
